Everest base camp trek and Island peak Climbing can be started via the air service from Kathmandu to Lukla or a drive to Jiri of 184 km. The Island Peak climbing starts trek from Lukla and then continues up past Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Everest base camp and return to Chukung valley, Imaja Glacier to the Base camp of Imja Tse or Island peak and returns via the same route to Kathmandu.
